Police's Organized Crime Lists Leaked

Swedish Radio News reports that the police's secret information lists on the fight against organized crime have been leaked out to criminal sources.

The police add that no policemen are blamed for the leaks but that criminals have stolen the material containing the names of those believed to be involved in drug smuggling, prostitution and trafficking.

The police add that some of the organized gangs are rivals and that some of those on the lists have already been murdered.

The Swedish government ordered a boosted campaign against organized crime three years ago - and there were expressed fears that some of these lists would find their way outside of police quarters.
