Special Rape Clinic Opening

Stockholm's SÃ¶der Hospital

Itâ€™s been announced that a special clinic for rape victims will be opening at Stockholm’s SÃ¶der Hospital in October.

Swedish Radio News reports that the clinic will be able to help 600 women a year, offering them a more protected environment, where they will be able to meet doctors, psychologists, counselors, and gynecologists. Regular routines should also help police investigations.

According to the Swedish Crime Prevention Council, the number of reported rapes in Sweden has risen from 2026 in 2000 to 2631 last year.
