The new Government’s plan on budget and finances was presented on Monday, but there was no money earmarked for the Sami Parliament.
Sami Parliamentarian Bengt Seva has worked with the planning of the construction on behalf of the Parliament.
He is very disappointed about the state budget plan.
─ We had a Prime Minister promise in 2004 and must get on from that position, says Bengt Seva.
According to the building plans construction was due to start this summer.
─ No money now means the Parliament building will not be finished in 2009 – if ever, says Bengt Seva.
