Prix Europa Opening Concert
On 11 October 2003 Europes first live radio broadcast in 5.1 surround on the EBU Network, was carried out from the historic radio building of Rundfunk Berlin-Brandenburg, Berlin. From 11 October through 18 October the RBB hosted the Prix Europa competition, Europe’s leading event for television, radio and internet productions. The Opening Concert to this years competition was transmitted live in stereo and in 5.1 over satellite. The concert took place in the large concert hall of the Haus des Rundfunks (broadcasting building).
The band Musique à Neuf from Belgium presented a blend of jazz and folk music combining influences from different parts of Europe.
The concert is a collaboration between Swedish Radio, Prix Europa, Rundfunk Berlin-Brandenburg (RBB), EBU (European Broadcasting Union) och Musique à Neuf.
The clip is coded in DTS. No alterations has been made to the livemix. Please note that it is a .wav-file which you can burn directly to CD. Beware, the clip is over 700 Mb so use a CD-R that can handle it.

Euroradiokonsert från Berwaldhallen
The Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra conducted by Manfred Honeck recorded on the 15th of November in the Berwald Hall in Stockholm. The concert features some great classics and was transmitted over the EBU Euroradio Network. The clips represent some parts of the concert.
